“Members welcomed the strong early interest in the community element of the Mayor’s Active Travel Fund. Members emphasised the importance of prioritising simple, accessible measures and stressed the need for well‑connected infrastructure rather than isolated schemes. The Mayor confirmed the commitment to ensuring joined‑up working with both local authorities and community stakeholders, noting the significant contribution of the Active Travel Commissioner in building strong partnerships.”
